THE FADAK SERMON – PART 13

107- Then she directed her gaze towards the Ansārs and said: O remnants of the Prophet’s era, pillars of the community, and cradle of Islam!

108- What is this delay in supporting me, this hesitation in aiding me, this disregard for my rights, and this silence in the face of my oppression?

109- Did not the Messenger of Allah, my father, say: ‘A man’s dignity is preserved in his children’?

110- How swiftly you initiated this matter, and with such haste, you transgressed (against the progeny of Muhammad May Allah hasten His reappearance )! You possess the capability to support me in reclaiming my rights and the strength to assist me in what I rightfully demand.

111- Do you say that Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, has died?

112- Indeed, by Allah, this was a momentous event, of immense magnitude; its breach has burst open, and the healer of that (breach) was lost, and the earth became dark in his absence, and the chosen ones of Allah were saddened, and the sun and the moon were eclipsed, and the stars scattered due to this calamity, and hopes were shattered, and the mountains bowed down, and wealth was plundered, and sanctities were violated, and dignity was stripped away upon his death, and the nation was tested, and darkness prevailed, and the truth perished.

113- By Allah, it was indeed the greatest calamity, the most significant catastrophe. Such a calamity has never occurred before, and there will never be a catastrophe like it.

114- By this tremendous calamity, the Book of God has informed you in your homes, in every morning and evening. It resonates in your ears with cries, shouts, recitation, and melodic intonations.

115- Similarly, the Book of Allah has revealed what occurred for the prophets and messengers in the past, indicating the divine decree and certain ruling: “And Muhammad is not but a messenger. (Other) messengers have passed on before him. So if he were to die or be killed, would you turn back on your heels (to unbelief)? And he who turns back on his heels will never harm Allah at all; but Allah will reward the grateful.” (Surah Al Imran: Ayah 144)

وَ لَقَبْلَهُ ما حَلَّتْ بِاَنْبِياءِ اللّهِ وَ رُسُلِهِ، حُكْمٌ فَصْلٌ وَ قَضاءٌ حَتْمٌ، {وَ ما مُحَمَّدٌ اِلاّ رَسُولٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ الرُّسُلُ أَفَاِنْ ماتَ أَوْ قُتِلَ انْقَلَبْتُمْ عَلىٰ اَعْقابِكُمْ وَ مَنْ يَنْقَلِبْ عَلىٰ عَقِبَيْهِ فَلَنْ يَضُرَّ اللّهَ شَيْئاً وَ سَيَجْزِى اللّهُ الشّاكِرِينَ}
