| 121- So how did you betray after the clarification, and you concealed after the proclamation, and you retreated after the advance? After embracing faith, you turned to polytheism, and after showing bravery, you retreated in fear. You feared a group ‘who violated their covenants and oaths and sought to find fault in your religion! Fight against the leaders of disbelief, for they have no faith; perhaps they will desist from their actions.’ (At-Tawbah, 9:12)

فَاَنّىٰ جُرْتُمْ بَعْدَ الْبَيَانِ وَ اَسْرَرْتُمْ بَعْدَ الْاِعْلانِ وَ نَكَصْتُمْ بَعْدَ الْاِقْدامِ وَ اَشْرَكْتُمْ بَعْدَ الْإِيمانِ وَ جَبُنْتُمْ بَعْدَ الشَّجاعَةِ، عَنْ قَوْمٍ {نَكَثُوا اَيْمانَهُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ عَهْدِهِمْ وَ طَعَنُوا فى دِينِكُمْ. فَقاتِلُوا أَئِمَّةَ الْكُفْرِ اِنَّهُمْ لا اَيْمانَ لَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَنْتَهُونَ}

| 122- Do you not fight a people who broke their oaths, and intended to expel the Messenger, and they were the first to attack you? Do you fear them? Allah is more deserving of your fear, if you are believers (At-Tawbah, 9:13)

{أَلا تُقاتِلُونَ قَوْماً نَكَثُوا أَيْمانَهُمْ وَ هَمُّوا بِاِخْراجِ الرَّسُولِ وَ هُمْ بَدَؤُوكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ أَتَخْشَوْنَهُمْ فَاللّهُ اَحَقُّ اَنْ تَخْشَوْهُ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ}
