1-When Abu Bakr decided to confiscate Fadak’s property from Fatimah  he first dismissed her representative and the news spread to Fatimah .

لَمّا اَجْمَعَ اَبُوبَكْرٍ عَلىٰ مَنْعِ فاطِمَةَ عليهاالسلام فَدَكاً وَ صَرَفَ عامِلَها مِنْها وَ بَلَغَها ذَلِكَ
|
|
2-Therefore, she covered her head, wrapped herself in a long robe from head to toe, and, accompanied by her female companions and servants, headed towards the mosque of the Holy Prophet  . Her gait mirrored that of the Holy Prophet, except that the end of her loose garment touched the ground.
|
لاثَتْ خِمارَها عَلىٰ رَأْسِها وَ اشْتَمَلَتْ بِجِلْبابِها، وَ اَقْبَلَتْ فى لُمَّةٍ مِنْ حَفَدَتِها وَ نِساءِ قَوْمِها، تَجُرُّ أَدْراعَها، تَطَأُ ذُيُولَها، ما تَخْرِمُ مِشْيَتُها مِشْيَةَ رَسُولِ اللّهِ صَلَّى اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ

| 3-Until she entered the mosque where Abu Bakr was, amidst a crowd of Mohājirs, Ansārs, and others. As she entered the mosque, a curtain was placed between the women and the men on the other side, so she sat down.
|
حَتّى دَخَلَتْ عَلىٰ اَبِىبَكْرٍ الْمَسْجِدَ وَ هُوَ فى حَشْدٍ مِنَ الْمُهاجِرِينَ وَ الاَنْصارِ وَ غَيْرِهِمْ. فَنِيطَتْ دُونَها وَ دُونَ النّاسِ مُلاءَةٌ فَجَلَسَتْ

| 4-Then Fatimah unleashed a lamentation that moved the people to weep so loudly that the mosque resonated with their sobbing.
|
ثُمَّ أَنَّتْ أَنَّةً ارْتَجَّتْ لَهَا الْقُلُوبُ وَ ذَرَفَتْ لَهَا الْعُيُونُ وَ اَجْهَشَ الْقَوْمُ لَها بِالْبُكاءِ وَ النَّحِيبِ، فَارْتَجَّ الْمَجْلِسُ

| 5-She waited for a moment until the people’s sobbing subsided and their tumult calmed.
|
ثُمَّ اَمْهَلَتْ هُنَيَّةً حَتّٰى اِذا سَكَنَ نَشِيجُ الْقَوْمِ وَ هَدَأَتْ فَوْرَتُهُمْ

| 6-She began speaking with praise for Allah, extolling Him and sending blessings upon His Messenger. The people resumed their weeping, and when they regained composure, she continued speaking. So, she said:
|
اِفْتَتَحَتِ الْكَلامَ بِحَمْدِ اللّهِ وَ الثَّناءِ عَلَيْهِ وَ الصَّلاةِ عَلىٰ رَسُولِهِ، فَعادَ الْقَوْمُ فى بُكائِهِمْ، فَلَمّا اَمْسَكُوا عادَتْ عليهاالسلام فى كَلامِها فَقالَتْ
