THE FADAK SERMON – PART 2

7- I begin by praising the One worthy of all praise, abundance, and glory. All praise is due to Allah for His blessings, gratitude is owed to Him for His inspiration, and commendation be for what He has in advanced granted us and presented from the essential blessings, the abundant outpouring of favours, and the benevolence of bestowed kindness.

8- I praise Him with endless praises that are beyond counting, and the power to thank them all is not within reach, and their ultimate comprehension will not be possible. The blessings that God has invited us to be grateful for their increase and continuity, has directed His servants to send them obediently, and has asked for His praise and admiration to complete His blessings, and has commanded seeking such blessings alongside it.

9- I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, alone, without any partner, the statement that God has placed the external realization and embodiment of it as the sincerity of people, what can be comprehended from this is entrusted to the hearts (as an innate monotheism), He has illuminated in thoughts the rational aspects of monotheism.

10- The Lord, whose visibility is impossible, and there is no ability to describe Him, nor can He be encompassed by anyone’s imagination.

11- He innovated things, not from anything that existed before them, and brought them into existence without emulating any precedents.

12- He bestowed existence upon things by His power, and manifested them according to His will, without any need for their formation, and without benefit to Himself in their depiction, except for the establishment of His wisdom, a reminder of obedience, a manifestation of His power, an indication of His divinity, devotion to His worship, and honour for His invitation (grant dignity to those who invite people towards Him).

13- Then, as an incentive for obedience to His command and journey to paradise, He has established rewards, and as a deterrent to disobedience to His command and deviation, He has set punishments.
