THE FADAK SERMON – PART 8

53- Then she May Allah hasten His reappearance said: “In the name of Allah, the beneficent, the merciful. ‘Certainly, a Messenger has come to you from among yourselves, burdensome for him is your suffering, eager is he for your guidance, and compassionate and merciful to the believers.’ ” (At-Tawbah/128)

ثُمَّ قالَتْ عليهاالسلام: {بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ} {لَقَدْ جاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مِنْ اَنْفُسِكُمْ عَزِيزٌ عَلَيْهِ ما عَنِتُّمْ حَرِيصٌ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْمُؤمِنِينَ رَؤُوفٌ رَحِيمٌ}

54- If you reflect on his lineage and know him, you will find that he is my father and not the father of any of your wives, and he is the only brother of my cousin and not a brother to any of your men, and indeed, his noble lineage is an excellent one to be attributed to

55- So, he firmly conveyed the divine message with a clear warning, rejecting the practices of polytheists, avoiding their costumes, confronting their false beliefs, and holding firm against their opposition, inviting people to the path of his Lord with wisdom and beautiful admonition

فَبَلَّغَ الرِّسالَةَ صادِعاً بِالنِّذارَةِ، مائِلاً عَنْ مَدْرَجَةِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ، حائِداً عَنْ سُنَّتِهِمْ، ضارِباً لِثَبَجِهِمْ، آخِذاً بِاَكْظامِهِمْ، داعِياً اِلىٰ سَبِيلِ رَبِّهِ {بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَ الْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ}

56- He broke the idols and struck down the arrogant, until the assembly scattered and retreated

57- And until the night was torn from its morning, and the pure truth emerged, and the leader of the religion spoke, and the intensity of disbelief subsided, and the babble of devils was silenced, and the façade of hypocrisy crumbled, and the knots of disbelief and discord untied, and the word of sincerity prevailed among a gathering of the virtuous and pure

58- And you were on the brink of the pit of the Fire, but the Prophet of Allah rescued you, while you were worshiping idols and engaged in gambling. You were easily consumed by any drinker, a prey to the desiring, resembling an ember whose fire quickly extinguished (providing neither warmth nor light), feeble enough for anyone to trample

59- Your drinking water was muddy, and your food was the skin of dead animals, you were lowly and despised, and “you were in fear of being raided by the people” around you. (Quran, Al-Anfal/26)
